Now in my 24th year of practice, I maintain a highly computerized practice limited to commercial transactions and real estate finance. I serve a select few clients ranging in size from publicly traded to single shareholder. I bring large firm experience (formerly a partner in the law firm now known as Parsinen, Kaplan) to the table, with a small businessman's sensitivity to costs. In over 16 years of solo practice, my clients have paid every single bill submitted to them, a testament to the reasonableness of the fees and the quality of my service.
I have handled sale/leaseback transactions for the financing sources for national franchises such as Arby's, Applebees, Denny's, Jared Jewelry, Garden Ridge, TGIFridays, Children's World Daycare Centers, Party City, to name a few. I also routinuely help small and start-up businesses with capitalization and general counsel type legal needs.
I have lived abroad for a year in Europe and successively telecommuted from there. Although now back in Minnesota full time, I know how to keep transactions moving even when I am not in the office.
SIGNIFICANT TRANSACTIONS - Closed in excess of $270 Million in construction, permanent and line of credit financing for lenders and borrowers. Real estate counsel to $230 Million publicly held limited partnerships acquiring and leasing over 120 restaurants, day care centers, retail facilities, and motels nationwide. Advised numerous closely held Company's Board of Directors on mergers, acquisitions, and capital\debt structure.
